Oscar returns to Mexico for the first time and finds himself as the only man among the handful of women who live in this small place that has never had a telephone or internet. As he tries to return to the United States, he takes charge of the mail and learns the stories and desires of the inhabitants, among them a little boy who asks for his father letters. Moved, Oscar writes him the longed letters signing as the father and begins to bond with him and Martha, his mother.
