13th century France. To live, to survive, requires weapons. Which do you choose? Weapons of war, which give the power to punish and kill? 简介根本不对，应该是一个女人与两兄弟的感情。电影前面部分对观众不友好，故事格局不够大，角色就那几个。大哥因为家里养不起，去外面生存做了雇佣战士。弟弟继承了父亲传授给母亲的医学，有一定的文化。弟媳继承了母亲的厨艺没有继承医学，想学医学。里头书籍很珍贵，不是所有人都有学识，商人懂字母不懂文字。可见男主角大哥盗书所谓何意了。还能看到以前服用草药，不是用水而是牛奶。这部电影完全可以可看可不用看。
